The case also notes “Visual Master Rights: WOWOW Japan Satellite Broadcasting Inc. Office Two-One Inc.,” proving the video was officially licensed. Featuring footage of the real towns, people, and landscapes used as Twin Peaks locations, this VHS promo was likely issued to rental stores to promote the LaserDisc, making it the most unique way to experience Angelo Badalamenti’s magnificent score.
